It's been a while!

My friend, Derek, just gave me one of his stories to add to our collection

The Grass and the TreesCollapse )

Dec. 15th, 2010

This story was actually inspired by a typo. It's extremely silly, and it's about dinosaurs. Rapping dinosaurs.

Meet Threesaurus and PhilosoraptorCollapse )

This is another one of our (Sky & Ink) little collaboration stories, thats still totally open, about a princess, a dragon, and a knight, but from a little different perspective.

Read: ScorchCollapse )

My Haven.

Hey I'm new here!
I found an amazing picture of a bookshelf here so I decided to write something based on it. Sort of, anyway.
Please give me your suggestions and feedback, it's my first time in a community like this, I'm usually into fanfics (insert scoff from everyone here, hahaha.)
Oh, and correct me if I do anything wrong (format, tagging rules?)
Thank you so much!

Each letter is like a droplet of ink.Collapse )

Through the sewers.

Thanks to some artwork submitted by Pilliwiggan, i've decided to make a rubber ducky story, and it goes a little something, like this:

Sewers dont smell as bad as you'd think. Sometimes you've got to go through some pretty bad places to get where you're going. One night, and one misplaced plug is all it took for a small rubber duck to be on his way. All it took to change how he saw the world.

Julians JourneyCollapse )

We have 16 members now? Well, 14 actually since two are repeats lol. But still! That's awesome. A lot more than I ever expected.
Hello everyone. =] Can you remember what your favorite books were as a child?

Rainbow Fish was awesome. <3
My reading level quickly became that of a child a few years older than my actual age, I was a little nerd and loved to read. XD
I loved The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe and there were a few suspense books by Mary Downing Hahn I'd love to go back and re-read even now. My favorites from her were The Doll in the Garden and Wait Till Helen Comes.
I was also pretty stoked when they made Bridge to Terabithia into a movie.

(no subject)

ost of my stuff is pretty adult, but I do have some kid friendly things!

First illustration!

A member of Gaia (Shiro Takahashi) just provided us with our first illustration for the book!
It's perfect.

Wind Whispers Loudly

Our friend Scottie wrote a little something for us!

I'll come back and edit it a little laterCollapse )

Doodle the Poodle (SERIES) OPEN

Remember Spot the Dog from when you were a kid? Really short, simple books for very young children. We wanted to do something kinda like that, for the littler ones.

Doodle The Poodle

This is Doodle the poodle. He is fluffy and blue.
He belongs to no-one, but if he did, it would be Quinifred Q.
Doodle loves adventures, dancing, and playing
He knows many tricks that are wonderfuly amazing
Doodle would bark, trying to talk with all of his might
Some people would run away, afraid he may bite!
Though Doodle would never, he was only trying to say
Things such as "I like your shoes" and "How is your day?"
Doodle loves people, especially little miss Q.
She knew he was smart, and always asked him "What should we do?"
And he would fetch a frisbee or paw at a ball
Jump to the window, or point to a picture on the wall
One sunny day, Doodle led Quinifred off into the woods
Where they happened upon a tin can, and hoped it was filled with goods
But when they opened it, much to their surprise
The can was all lit up and glowing bright
Out flew a fairy, who was thankful to be set free
So thankful, in fact, she would grant them a wish, indeed
Without a second thought, Quinifred smiled and suggested
"Doodle wishes he could talk, do you suppose you could help him?"
And the grateful fairy obliged and the duo was happier than ever
This is where the story ends, but I've got more you might like better!

Write me some Doodle stories?
No, they don't all have to rhyme.
